Welcome to Feminia

This is part of the enthusiastic Feminia team

You are logged on to Feminia, a website conceived and run by women/female media professionals in Africa.

This project is in line with the recommendations of the Beijing platform; section J which encourages the proliferation of fora for women to express themselves freely in the media.

Feminia is an open platform where African women can fully express their dynamism and highlight their daily struggles. This will inevitably contribute to the amelioration of their social status, the development of the continent and the ideals of peace in the world.

Feminia offers female media professionals an opportunity to exchange information and experiences both at the professional and personal levels. The Feminia website and its network are not limited by any linguistic or cultural barriers. Articles are written in English and French and will soon be published in Portuguese and other languages used on the African continent.

The initiative originated from Cameroon; however most female media professionals have adhered to it so we can say without fear of contradiction that Feminia is an African initiative.
